INJURIES: Please note, minor injuries or specific conditions can be accommodated by notifying the instructor before class however, it is recommended that you seek professional medical advice before attending a group pilates mat class if you have a major injury. I will also be happy to tailor a program to suit your individual needs and accommodate your condition in private pilates sessions.
NEW CLIENTS (NON-BEGINNERS): You can start anytime throughout the year but must arrive a little earlier to your first class so the instructor can discuss your goals, if you have any injuries etc without disrupting the rest of the class. Must have previously completed a minimum of 3 classes to go straight to a drop-in class.
BEGINNERS: New clients to Pilates can also start anytime throughout the year, but must contact Heidi to book in for a ½hr “Pilates basics” before the class. This is so the instructor can discuss your goals, if you have any injuries, go over Pilates basics, give you a posture check etc without disrupting the rest of the class. This will mean that you are better prepared for the group class that follows.
PAYMENT: EFTPOS facilities are available (a 2% surcharge will apply). We also accept cash and cheques made payable to Pilates with a Twist. Classes are non-refundable so please chose your package carefully and take note of expiry dates.
WHAT TO WEAR: Wear comfortable clothes that won't restrict your movement and bare feet (socks ok in winter if cold). Bring water, your own exercise mat and a towel (it's a little unhygienic to share mats/towels). A towel is required as a cushion occasionally to make some positions more comfortable etc.
